Safety Control Device SR3D – Universal Safety Control Device with Three Secure Relay Outputs

The SR3D is a universally applicable safety control device that enables the safe shutdown of moving machine parts in hazardous situations. It features three secure, redundant, and diverse relay outputs, ensuring fast and reliable stoppage of machines and systems. The device is suitable for both single-channel and dual-channel emergency stop circuits, as well as for monitoring protective guards on machinery.

Thanks to certifications from TÜV Rheinland and Germanischer Lloyd, the SR3D meets the highest safety standards. It is specifically designed for use in combustion plants in accordance with EN 50156-1 and EN 746-2, as well as for shipboard use. The device offers IP54 protection when installed in a control cabinet and features a compact design for mounting on a 35 mm DIN rail.

Functions:



• Monitoring and Safe Shutdown:
- The SR3D monitors the status of the emergency stop circuit (e.g., emergency stop button or safety door).
- When the emergency stop circuit is closed, the machine is enabled.
- If the safety function is requested (e.g., by opening the safety door), the SR3D immediately interrupts the release paths, ensuring the machine is safely shut down.


• Self-Monitoring:
- The SR3D detects errors through cyclical self-monitoring.
- Errors are detected no later than during the next request of the safety function, ensuring that single faults do not result in the loss of the safety function.
