Safety Control Device SR3D – Universal Safety Relay with Three Secure Relay Outputs

The SR3D safety control device provides a reliable solution for the safe shutdown of machines and systems in the event of danger. With three secure, redundant, and diverse relay outputs, it allows for the quick and safe stoppage of moving machine parts. The SR3D is universally applicable and supports both single-channel and dual-channel emergency stop circuits as well as guard door monitoring.

The SR3D is specifically designed for use in continuous operation in combustion systems in accordance with EN 50156-1 and EN 746-2, as well as for maritime applications. It has been certified by TÜV Rheinland and the Germanischer Lloyd, ensuring compliance with the highest safety standards. Thanks to its robust design and compatibility with EN 60715 DIN rail mounting, it is ideal for use in control cabinets with a protection class of at least IP54.

Function:



• Monitoring and Safe Shutdown:
- The SR3D monitors the status of the emergency stop circuit (e.g., emergency stop button or safety door) and switches the release paths to a safe state when the safety function is triggered.
- When the emergency stop circuit is closed, the machine is enabled via the SR3D.
- In the event of a fault or request for the safety function, the device immediately opens the release paths to safely shut down the machine.


• Self-Monitoring:
- The SR3D performs cyclical self-monitoring and detects errors at the next request of the safety function.
- Single faults within the device do not result in the loss of the safety function.
