Safety Relay SD1K – Compact Safety Module with Extensive Diagnostic Functions
The SD1K safety relay provides a certified safety solution for implementing emergency stop functions and other safety-critical controls. Certified up to PL e, Category 4, and SILCL 3, it meets the highest safety standards. The SD1K is type-tested for combustion plants in accordance with EN 50156-1 and EN 746-2 and supports Stop Category 0 according to EN 60204-1.
Its compact design with a width of only 6.8 mm saves valuable space in the control cabinet. At the same time, extensive diagnostics via front-facing LEDs enable quick error detection and troubleshooting.
Technical Data:
- Safety Certifications:
- Certified up to PL e, Category 4, SILCL 3
- Type-tested for combustion plants according to EN 50156-1 / EN 746-2
- Supports Stop Category 0 according to EN 60204-1
- Inputs and Outputs:
- 1 safe relay contact (13-14) that closes when the control voltage (A1/A2) is applied and opens immediately when the control voltage is switched off
- 1 signaling output (PNP) C1 that switches inverted to the safe relay contact
- 1 feedback loop (via terminal S21) for monitoring downstream contactors
- Housing and Design:
- Housing width: 6.8 mm
- LED indicators for extensive diagnostics on the front of the device
- Error Monitoring:
- Cyclical self-monitoring detects errors at the latest when the system is switched off and on again
- Ensures the safety function is maintained even if a single fault occurs
Functions:
- Feedback Loop (S21):
- Terminal S21 allows for the integration of a feedback loop to monitor downstream contactors. This enables additional safety monitoring in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Safe Relay Contact (13-14):
- The safe relay contact closes when the control voltage (A1/A2) is applied and opens immediately when the voltage is turned off. This function ensures reliable safety shutdowns.
- Signaling Output (C1):
- The signaling output C1 switches inversely to the safe relay contact. This enables monitoring of the relay status. One possible use case is to detect errors, such as when the relay contact does not switch despite the control voltage being applied.
Behavior in the Event of a Fault:
- Self-monitoring detects faults at the latest when the system is switched off and on again
- Single faults do not result in the loss of the safety function
Scope of Delivery:
- 1x Safety Relay SD1K
- Connection instructions
- Warranty documents
