How Pull-Wire and Tear-Wire Switches Work
The emergency stop cable is connected to a pull-wire switch. Pulling the cable at any point triggers an immediate stop of the machine. In the event of a cable tear or slackening, the tear-wire switch automatically stops machine operation. The safety state remains locked until the cable is re-tensioned and the reset button on the pull-wire switch is pressed. This ensures maximum safety.

Simple Installation and Optimal Cable Tension
With the ZANDER ZTK mounting and cable tensioning system, cable tension can be optimally adjusted. A window on the pull-wire switch displays the correct tension status (green arrows) to ensure proper tensioning. This makes initial installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting easier. A large, highly visible LED on the switch indicates the operational status: Green for normal operation and red for a machine stop.
