Product Description:
The ZLM, ZLS, and ZL2S pull-wire emergency stop switches are specifically designed to secure extensive machinery and systems that cannot be safeguarded with protective doors. These switches allow an emergency stop signal to be triggered from any point along the wire. They provide reliable safety through slack wire and wire break monitoring, with manual resetting required to restore operation.
A clearly visible LED indicates the switch status, and an optional emergency stop button on either side of the switch adds extra safety. The switches are available in robust metal housings (IP67) or stainless steel variants (IP69K) for demanding environments.
Key Features:
- Emergency stop functionality across the entire wire length
- Slack wire and wire break monitoring
- Locks in the off position, reset only possible via reset button with correct wire tension
- Integrated status indicator (pulled, slack, correct tension)
- Durable metal housing (IP67) or stainless steel housing (IP69K)
- Maximum wire lengths:
- ZLM / ZLMS: up to 30 m

- Installation manual
Application Areas:
- Large-scale machinery and systems
- Conveyor systems
- Production lines without protective doors
Installation Notes:
- Guide the wire through eye bolts every 3 m, with an additional eye bolt 500 mm before each switch.
- Use the ZTK / ZTKE wire tensioning system for optimal adjustment, ensuring the green marker is visible in the status window.
- Test the actuation function by pulling the wire before electrical commissioning.
Note:
For wire lengths up to 30 m (ZLM / ZLMS), 60 m (ZLS), 80 m (ZLSE), or 100 m (ZL2S), a tension spring may be used instead of a second switch.
