Description:The EPR-WG is a robust single-turn absolute encoder designed for seamless integration with the EPR and EPC programmable cam controllers. It provides precise position data using a contactless and wear-free optoelectronic scanning mechanism, making it ideal for industrial use. Features:- Resolution: 360 or 1000 steps per revolution
- Codes: Binary or Gray-Excess-76-Code
- Outputs: Short-circuit proof, reverse-polarity protected push-pull outputs
- Compatibility: Direct connection to EPR16, EPR48, EPC16, EPC48
- Rotation Direction: Reversible*
- Durability: Mechanically robust, suitable for high-speed operations
Functionality:- Absolute position data is assigned to each angle using binary or Gray-Code.
- No reference point required as in incremental systems.
- Contactless and wear-free scanning of the code disk.
Installation:- Front mounting with 3 M4 screws.
- Shaft connection via a suitable membrane coupling (see accessories).
Damage Prevention Tips:- Avoid electrostatic discharge when handling electronics.
- Prevent excessive force on the shaft.
- Protect against impacts, chemicals, extreme temperatures, and strong vibrations.
Connection Options:- Available with axial or radial connectors.
- Matching shielded cables are available in various lengths (refer to part numbers).
Rotation Direction:- Models manufactured from 2020 onward do not support direct rotation direction change via jumper.
- Solution: Use the adapter cable (Part No. 585738) for reversing the rotation direction.
