The S2HC is a highly compact and universal safety two-hand control relay for two-hand operations. It meets the requirements of EN 574/EN ISO 13851, Type III C, and is suitable for use in safety circuits according to EN 60204-1. With internal fault monitoring, the S2HC ensures maximum safety up to Category 4 and PL e per EN ISO 13849-1, as well as SILCL 3 under EN 62061. Its compact size makes it ideal for applications such as presses, punching machines, and bending tools.

Functionality:

• Operating mode:
- The device is operational when power is applied to A1 and A2, and the feedback circuit (X1 and X2) is closed.
- A switching operation is initiated when both two-hand buttons (T1 and T2) are pressed simultaneously within 0.5 seconds.

• Safety measures:
- The output relays remain in a safe state if:
- Only one button is pressed.
- The time between button presses exceeds 0.5 seconds.
- The feedback circuit is open (e.g., due to errors in external contactors).
- Faults such as short circuits or wire breaks occur.
- Releasing one or both buttons immediately returns the output relays to a safe state.
- Both buttons must be released, and the feedback circuit must be closed, to initiate a new operation.


Mounting and Installation:

• Protection:
- Suitable for installation in control cabinets with at least IP54 protection according to EN 60204-1

• Mounting:
- Mounts on a 35 mm DIN rail according to EN 60715 TH35

• Spacing and cooling:
- Maintain a minimum spacing of 10 mm from adjacent devices for AC 115 V / 230 V versions
- Ensure adequate heat dissipation within the control cabinet
- Optional spacers by ZANDER AACHEN available
