The SK3D safety coupling relay is a universally applicable relay with three safe relay contacts. It ensures the safety-oriented interruption of circuits during hazardous situations, couples safe signals between controllers and peripherals, and provides galvanic isolation and power adaptation. Designed for continuous operation in furnaces in compliance with EN 50156-1 and EN 746-2, the SK3D is TÜV-certified. Additionally, it can expand SR series base devices without requiring a feedback circuit.

Functionality:

• Signal transmission:
- When the control signal is activated, the internal logic closes the safety contacts, enabling safe operation of connected loads.
- When the control signal is deactivated, the safety contacts open, safely shutting down the loads.

• Error detection:
- Single faults do not compromise the safety function. Errors are detected through cyclical self-monitoring and identified during the next on/off cycle.


Mounting and Installation:

• Protection:
- Suitable for installation in control cabinets with at least IP54 protection in accordance with EN 60204-1

• Mounting:
- Mounts on a 35 mm DIN rail according to DIN EN 60715 TH35

• Spacing and cooling:
- Maintain at least 10 mm distance from adjacent devices for AC 115 V / 230 V
- Ensure adequate heat dissipation within the control cabinet
- Optional spacer (Part No. 472596 by ZANDER AACHEN) available
