The SR3D is a universally applicable safety relay with three safe relay outputs. It is specifically designed for emergency stop circuits and guard monitoring, providing maximum safety for machinery and equipment. With certifications from TÜV Rheinland and Germanischer Lloyd, the SR3D is suitable for use in continuous operation furnaces according to EN 50156-1 and EN 746-2, as well as for marine applications.
Features:
- Safe relay contacts:
- 3 safe, redundant, diverse relay outputs
- 1 auxiliary contact (monitoring contact)
- Flexible connections:
- Emergency stop buttons
- Safety switches
- Non-contact safety switches
- Safety devices with OSSD outputs
- Operating modes:
- Single- or dual-channel operation available
- Start options:
- Monitored manual start
- Automatic start
- Monitoring functions:
- Feedback circuit for monitoring downstream contactors or extension modules
- Cross-fault and ground fault monitoring
- Cyclical monitoring of output contacts
- Safety standards:
- Suitable for applications up to PL e, SILCL 3, and Category 4 according to EN ISO 13849-1 / IEC 61508
- Certifications:
- TÜV Rheinland
- Germanischer Lloyd (Certificate TAE00003JF)
- Status display:
- LED indicates switching state
Functionality:
- Normal operation:
- When the emergency stop circuit (e.g., guard door closed) is active, the SR3D enables the machine.
- Triggering the safety function (e.g., guard door opened) immediately interrupts the release circuits, safely stopping the machine.
- Error detection:
- Force-guided relays ensure that a single fault does not compromise the safety function. Cyclical self-monitoring detects errors at the next activation of the safety function.
Mounting and Installation:
- Protection:
- Suitable for installation in control cabinets with at least IP54 protection in accordance with EN 60204-1
- Mounting:
- Mounts on a 35 mm DIN rail according to EN 60715
- Spacing and cooling:
- Maintain at least 10 mm distance from adjacent devices for AC 115 V / 230 V variants
- Ensure adequate heat dissipation within the control cabinet
- Optional spacer (Part No. 472596 by ZANDER AACHEN) available
Safety Instructions:
- Installation and commissioning must only be performed by qualified personnel.
- Adherence to all relevant standards and regulations is required.
