The SR4C is a compact safety relay that combines immediate and time-delayed safety contacts. It is designed to ensure the quick and safe shutdown of hazardous machine components during emergencies, while allowing other circuits to remain powered for a controlled delay. This feature is useful for tasks such as returning tools to their home position or safely decelerating moving parts. The SR4C meets the highest safety standards up to PL e, SIL 3, and Category 4 according to EN ISO 13849-1 and EN IEC 62061.

Functionality:

• Immediate shutdown:
- Immediate contacts shut down upon activation of the emergency stop button, ensuring the immediate cessation of dangerous movements.

• Time-delayed shutdown:
- Delayed contacts activate simultaneously with immediate contacts but remain powered for the set delay time before shutting down. The supply voltage must remain connected during the delay.

• Error detection:
- Errors are detected through cyclical self-monitoring and identified during the next on/off cycle, ensuring consistent safety functionality.


Mounting and Installation:

• Protection:
- Suitable for installation in control cabinets with at least IP54 protection in accordance with EN 60204-1

• Mounting:
- Mounts on a 35 mm DIN rail according to EN 60715

• Spacing and cooling:
- Maintain minimum spacing from adjacent devices as per total current consideration (see technical data)
- Ensure adequate heat dissipation within the control cabinet
- Optional spacer (Part No. 472596 by ZANDER AACHEN) available
