The SR3C safety relay is a universally applicable device featuring three safe, redundant relay contacts and one auxiliary contact (status contact). Designed to safely shut down machinery and equipment in hazardous situations, it meets the highest safety standards up to PL e, SIL 3, and Category 4 in accordance with EN ISO 13849-1 and IEC 61508. With flexible connection options, monitoring functions, and two selectable start behaviors, the SR3C is ideal for single- or dual-channel emergency stop circuits and guard monitoring.

Functionality:

• Normal operation:
- When the emergency stop circuit is closed (e.g., safety door is closed), the SR3C allows machine operation.

• Safety activation:
- When the safety function is triggered (e.g., safety door is opened), the device immediately interrupts the release current paths, safely shutting down the machine.

• Error detection:
- Force-guided relays and cyclical self-monitoring detect faults and ensure the reliability of the safety function.


Mounting and Installation:

• Protection:
- Must be installed in control cabinets with at least IP54 protection according to EN 60204-1

• Mounting:
- Mounts on a 35 mm DIN rail according to EN 60715 TH35

• Spacing and cooling:
- Maintain at least 10 mm distance from adjacent devices for AC 115 V / 230 V variants
- Ensure adequate heat dissipation within the control cabinet
- Optional spacer (Part No. 472596 by ZANDER AACHEN) available
