The SR3C safety relay is a universally applicable module featuring three safe relay contacts and an additional auxiliary contact (status contact). It is designed for the reliable shutdown of machinery and equipment in hazardous situations. The device supports single- or dual-channel emergency stop circuits and guard monitoring, meeting the highest safety requirements according to EN ISO 13849-1, EN IEC 62061, IEC 61508, and IEC 61511. With redundant force-guided relays and cyclical self-monitoring, the SR3C ensures maximum safety and dependability.

Functionality:

• Normal operation:
When the emergency stop circuit is closed (e.g., safety door is closed), the SR3C allows the machine to operate.

• Safety activation:
When the safety function is triggered (e.g., safety door is opened), the release current paths are immediately interrupted, safely shutting down the machine.

• Error detection:
Redundant force-guided relays and cyclical self-monitoring ensure that faults are detected and the safety function remains reliable.


Mounting and Installation:

• Protection:
- Must be installed in control cabinets with at least IP54 protection according to EN 60204-1

• Mounting:
- Mounts on a 35 mm DIN rail according to EN 60715 TH35

• Spacing and cooling:
- For AC 115 V / 230 V variants, maintain at least 10 mm distance from adjacent devices
- Ensure adequate heat dissipation within the control cabinet
- Optional spacer (Part No. 472596 by ZANDER AACHEN) available
