The SR2C safety relay is a versatile module designed to safely shut down machinery and equipment in hazardous situations. Featuring two safe, redundant relay outputs, it meets the highest safety standards and is ideal for emergency stop circuits and guard monitoring. The device supports single- or dual-channel operation, cyclical self-monitoring, and safety-related stop functions up to PL e / SIL 3 in accordance with EN ISO 13849-1 and IEC 61508. The integrated LED indicator simplifies monitoring of the operational status.

Functionality:

• Safety Function:
- When the emergency stop circuit is closed (e.g., safety door or emergency stop button), the SR2C allows machine operation.
- When the safety function is triggered (e.g., opening the safety door), the release current paths immediately open, safely shutting down the machine.

• Error Detection:
- Force-guided relays and cyclical self-monitoring ensure that faults are detected, maintaining the safety function's reliability.


Mounting and Installation:

• Protection:
- Must be installed in control cabinets with at least IP54 protection in accordance with EN 60204-1

• Mounting:
- Mounts on a 35 mm DIN rail according to EN 60715 TH35

• Spacing and Cooling:
- Maintain a minimum of 10 mm distance from adjacent devices for AC 115 V / 230 V variants
- Ensure adequate heat dissipation within the control cabinet
- Optional spacer (Part No. 472596 by ZANDER AACHEN) available for defined spacing
