The KNX IP BAOS 773 serves as an interface to the KNX both at the telegram level (KNXnet/IP Tunneling) and at the data point level (KNX Application Layer). This allows clients to access group objects directly via TCP/IP or UDP/IP using a binary protocol. Java Script Object Notation (JSON) is available as an alternative protocol for use in web browsers. The device is configured with the ETS and supports 250 objects. Up to 10 clients can access the device simultaneously. BAOS stands for 'Bus Access and Object Server'. The KNX bus can be accessed from any point in the LAN. The KNX IP BAOS 773 also enables bus access via the Internet. The buttons are used for diagnostics. The LEDs show operating states and communication errors on the bus. The power supply is via the KNX bus.
