Communication module, MODBUS TCP
The WAGO communication module extends the WAGO energy meters and other Modbus RTU slaves with ETHERNET access. The Modbus TCP module is designed based on the energy meters of the 879 series and has the same contours as them. There are various ways to connect the communication module to the energy meters:
1. Connection to the energy meter via the UART interface (one communication module per energy meter)
2. Connection via the RS-485 interface (up to 32 generic Modbus® slaves)
