The new connectors in the Mini HD-BNC series are designed to meet the ever-increasing demands on mechanical and electrical properties such as return loss and robustness. The user does not need to change how to handle the Mini HD-BNC connector. The connector has the familiar plug-in mechanism that is well known from standard BNC connectors - the secure bayonet lock that reliably locks the connector. The new Mini HD-BNC connector requires a much smaller area than its predecessor. Over 40% of the area is saved. When used in patch panels and patch panels, in which many connectors are used in a matrix form in a small space, this allows a packing density four times that of the standard BNC. This means that the dimensions and weight of the devices can be significantly reduced.
