Performance features:

2.7 GHz high-performance gas discharge arrester (GDT G27): The gas discharge arrester works by discharging high currents from the inner conductor via the outer conductor to ground. The gas discharge cartridge is located between the inner and outer conductors. If the response voltage is exceeded, it ignites and short-circuits the overvoltage. The advantages of this series are the very high discharge currents (up to 40 kA, 8/20 pulse), the response voltages that can be selected in a range of 75 -600 V and the frequency-independent application range up to 2.5 GHz. The gas discharge cartridge can be replaced later.,
3.8 GHz high-performance gas discharge arrester (GDT G38): As an extension of the application spectrum of our high-performance gas discharge arresters for use in 5G applications, Telegärtner has developed a completely revised product family that promises very good return loss values at high frequencies up to 3.8 GHz. The functionality of this product category is the same as that of the G27 arrester family. Here, too, you can choose between response voltages of 75 to 600 V and the gas cartridge can be replaced. The new development was also used as an opportunity to expand the portfolio to include new 4.3-10 and 2.2-5 surge arrester types.,
6 GHz compact gas discharge arrester (GDT G6): This series works according to the same functional principle as the high-performance gas discharge arresters. It differs mainly in its more compact design and the significantly expanded frequency range up to 6 GHz. This means that it can also be used in WLANs with a transmission frequency of up to 5.8 GHz, for example. The maximum leakage currents are slightly lower than with the high-performance type at 10 kA (8/20 pulse, single) or 5 kA (8/20 pulse, multiple), and the response voltage is set at 150-250 V. The surge arresters can be attached using one-hole mounting.,
Lambda/4 short-circuit types: With surge arresters of this type, a direct, massive short circuit is switched between the inner and outer conductors. The length and shape of this short circuit are designed exactly so that certain frequencies are back in phase with the signal frequency to be transmitted after total reflection. This means that all frequencies outside the defined frequency range are short-circuited and diverted. The advantages of this series are the very high leakage currents (> 100 kA, 8/20 pulse), the absolute freedom from maintenance and the suitability for intermodulation-sensitive applications. Special versions that allow the transmission of direct voltage for the power supply of antenna preamplifiers via the coaxial cable are also available.
