The TNC series includes very commonly used coaxial connectors that are used up to a frequency of 11 GHz. They have the same dimensions as the BNC series but have a screw cap. Versions with 50¿ and 75¿ wave resistance are available. Connector variants are available for flexible, semi-flex and semi-rigid cables. The TNC series PCB connectors are available as solder or press-fit types. Depending on the version, cables are connected by crimping, clamping or soldering. The TNC series connectors are vibration-resistant and are used in signal, data and video transmission. TNC connectors are cost-effective alternatives for coaxial connections at high frequencies.
These connectors meet the transverse tightness in the mating face between plug and socket when plugged in according to IP 68. This protection class has been set as a general rule for the TNC series. There may be deviations for individual plug connections. If in doubt, please ask.
