Performance characteristics:

Insertion loss: The insertion loss describes the electrical losses along the cable. It is essentially determined by the cable diameter, the material of the dielectric and the frequency to be transmitted. Low-loss cables are characterized by particularly good (low) values for insertion loss.,
Shield attenuation: the shield attenuation describes how well the cable prevents the emission or radiation of RF signals along the cable. To improve the shield attenuation, double shielding braids, foil + braid shields and tinned braids are used for cables.,
Temperature range: depending on the materials used, the cables can be used at different ambient temperatures. Cables with PE or PVC sheaths can be used up to approx. 80°C. Cable with PTFE or FEP jacket up to approx. 200 °C,
characteristic impedance 50 Ohm or 75 Ohm: a 75 Ohm system is used for transmitting video signals and in long-distance traffic technology. 50 Ohm cables are used in almost all other areas.
