Tekbox TBPS01 EMC near-field probe set incl. 20 dB broadband amplifier
The near-field probes H20, H10, H5 and E5 record radiation emissions during the EMC preliminary conformity test.
They are used to localize radiated interference in the near field of electronic assemblies.
The probes are usually connected to a spectrum analyzer.
Scanning the probe across the surface of a circuit board assembly or PCB package quickly identifies locations that emit electromagnetic radiation. By switching to a probe with a smaller size, the generation of emissions can be further limited.
Additional applications include RF immunity testing, where an RF signal is fed into the probe and radiated into potentially vulnerable circuit sections: In addition, the probes can be used in the field of repair or debugging to identify problems in RF signal chains through non-contact measurement of the RF signal levels to detect.
Another application is the non-invasive measurement of RF components such as modulators or oscillators. Frequency, phase noise and spectral components can be measured in conjunction with a low-noise preamplifier.
The TBWA1/20dB broadband amplifier is connected between the EMC probe and the spectrum analyzer to increase the dynamic range of the measurements.
