To ensure that several spur lines do not fail in the event of a short circuit, line separators can be connected in between. The line separator is used where several spur lines are connected to the FDnet/C-NET at one point. The module can be connected to 2 separate loops. Each line separator is an electronic switch that is inserted in the FDnet/C-NET and separates the negative conductor in the event of a short circuit so that the side without a short circuit can continue to operate. The line separator has connections for the detector line, connections for the spur lines (T-branches), jumpers for programming the operating mode (1 or 2 loops), yellow LEDs for the status display signaling the short circuit separation.
