The Control Unit CU240E-2 is part of the modular frequency converter SINAMICS G120 (consisting of power unit, control unit, operator panel). The control unit is designed for all common applications with V/f or vector control. This includes, for example, sensorless basic applications in general mechanical engineering. The CU240E-2 has the integrated Safe Torque Off (STO) safety function as standard. In addition, the control unit has the integrated safety functions SS1, SLS, SDI and SSM and is therefore very versatile. The CU240E-2 control unit controls and monitors the power module and the connected motor in several selectable control modes. It enables communication with a local or central control system and monitoring devices and is used to connect all process-relevant auxiliary units and external components such as sensors, valves, contactors, etc. The I/O interface, the fieldbus interfaces and the additional software functions optimally support the application in general mechanical engineering. For intuitive series commissioning, a card slot is available for cloning parameter sets. Selecting the CU240E-2 determines the communication interface of the converter. The following integrated communication variants are available: CU240E-2 with the protocols USS, Modbus RTU, CU240E-2 DP PROFIBUS and CU240E-2 PN PROFINET, EtherNet/IP.
