The Control Unit CU230P-2 is part of the modular frequency converter SINAMICS G120 (consisting of power unit, control unit, operator panel). The SINAMICS control unit is specially designed for drives with integrated technology functions in building technology and the process industry. The CU230P-2 control unit controls and monitors the power module and the connected motor in several selectable control modes. It enables communication with a local or central control system and monitoring devices and is used to connect all process-relevant auxiliary units and external components such as sensors, valves, contactors, etc. The I/O interface, the fieldbus interfaces and the additional software functions optimally support the application of building technology and the process industry. The selection of the CU230P-2 determines the communication interface of the converter. The following integrated communication variants are available: CU230P-2 HVAC with the protocols USS, Modbus RTU, BACnet MS/TP, P1 protocol for heating, air conditioning and ventilation.
