The braking resistors are designed for use with the MICROMASTER 440 converter series, housing sizes A to F with integrated braking chopper and enable rapid braking of loads with a large moment of inertia. During braking of the motor and load, excess energy is fed back to the converter. This causes a voltage increase in the DC intermediate circuit.
