The servo motor and the servo converter are connected to each other with just one cable instead of the usual two or three cables. With this single-cable technology with SPEED-CONNECT quick-release fastener, power, encoder connection and brake control are combined in one cable. This results in a number of advantages, e.g. the time-saving laying of just one cable and the smaller installation space or space required for cable routing. Another advantage is that only one cable needs to be cleaned, especially in industries where there are increased hygiene requirements. The cable can also be ordered to the nearest decimetre and has an M17 or M12 connector on the motor side (the smallest OCC connector in the world).
