The Harmony XPS Basic safety relays implement basic safety functions. This device can be used to understand classic safety applications with a switch-off delay and to define the start function. The switch-off delay time and one of the two safety functions can be set on the rotary switches on the front. Mechanical break contacts from emergency stop/stop buttons, position, magnetic, pull-wire switches, as well as light curtains or RFID safety switches with OSSD outputs can be connected to the inputs. A safety function can be operated via the two inputs in a two-channel (redundant) version. Automatic, manual or monitored start is available on separate inputs for the start function. This safety switching device has 2 safe, undelayed relay make-contacts and optionally delayed 1 safe make-contact and 1 semiconductor signal output. The switch-off delayed time function (e.g. stop category 1 or 2, SS1 or SS2) can be set in steps from 0.1 second to 15 minutes. The supply voltage is 24 VAC and 24 VDC and the connections are made via removable screw terminals. Applications up to safety level PL e in category 4 or SIL3 can be realized. Installation is done by snapping onto a top hat rail or screwing onto mounting plates. A uniquely numbered locking strap is included to protect the settings under the transparent cover.
