This universal encoder interface card is an option for the Altivar range of variable speed drives. It is compatible with Altivar 71. It improves drive performance regardless of the load condition of the motor, torque at zero, accurate speed control, torque accuracy. As well as shorter response times to a torque surge, improved dynamic performance in transient condition. It is protected against short circuit and overload. It weighs 200 g. It is used for flux vector control operation with sensor (FVC mode) for asynchronous motors or for vector control operation with speed feedback (FSY mode) for synchronous motors. It is inserted in a special slot of the drive.
