Safety PLC controller (SLC) for the Modicon TM5/TM7 safety system. The SLC performs safety-related functions such as configuration management, parameter management and execution of the safety-relevant application program. Certified by TÜV Nord for Performance Level PLe according to EN ISO 13849-1 and SIL 3 according to IEC 61508 and IEC 62061. A typical TM5/TM7 safety system comprises a controller, an SLC, a Modicon TM5 SERCOS III bus coupler (TM5NS3) and TM5/TM7 safety modules. The Modicon TM5/TM7 I/O safety modules are connected to the SLC via the SERCOS III bus coupler. Up to 20 safety modules can be connected to the SLC. The SLC is compatible with controllers from the Modicon M262 and PacDrive product ranges with SERCOS III interface. A memory stick is required for operation. This is used to save the program, parameters and system configuration. The memory stick is not included in the scope of delivery and must be ordered separately. Two integrated shielded RJ45 ports (100Mbit/s) for connecting the SERCOS III bus. The cycle time can be set to 1, 2 and 4 ms. A slot for a memory stick. The power supply is via 24VDC. Programming and configuration using the EcoStruxure Machine Expert software (download from www.se.com) and the EcoStruxure Machine Expert - Safety add-on. Design with protection class IP20.
