Configurable input filter for improved signal acquisition speed or to reduce noise effects. Configurable latching function for capturing pulses with a shorter amplitude width than the controller's sampling time. Configurable fallback mode for setting outputs to the configured state (0 / 1 / hold) in the event of a hardware error.
