This discrete safety input module is part of the Modicon X80 range, a range of common input/output and communication modules, power supplies and racks for Modicon M340 and Modicon M580. This product consists of 16 non-isolated input channels and is supplied with 24 V DC (positive). This safety module can be used in harsher environments and operates in an extended temperature range of -25°C to +60°C and requires the Modicon M580 Safety Processor. Modicon X80 modules provide a unified environment for the use of I/O modules in automation architectures by reducing spare parts inventory, maintenance and training costs. It has 16 Type 3 inputs in two groups of 8 non-isolated inputs each. This product has an IP20 protection class and offers an MTBF of 382,097 hours. This module is certified by TÜV Rheinland up to SIL2/SIL3 according to IEC 61508/61511 for processes. It is certified up to SILCL3 according to IEC 62061 and up to Cat. 4/Ple according to ISO 13849 for machinery and up to SIL4 according to EN 50126/502128/50129 for rail. This product is certified by CE, UL, CSA, RCM, EAC, UKCA and Merchant Navy and complies with EN 61000-6-5, EN 61850-3 and EN 61131-2. This module is compatible with Safety PLCs with a 20-pin cage, screw terminal or removable spring terminal block. The height of the I/O module is greater than the height of a standard rack (Ethernet or X-Bus) and should be taken into account before installing the rack. The product must be installed in the module carrier and secured with 2 screws.
