This counter module is part of the Modicon X80 range, a common input/output offering for Modicon M340 and Modicon M580. This high-speed counter module has 8 channels, 2 single-mode inputs and 3 dedicated dual-phase mode inputs. The Modicon X80 automation platform meets the requirements of TC treatment (all climatic zones treatment) and can operate in a temperature range of 0°C to +60°C/32°F to 140°F. Modicon X80 modules provide a unified environment for the deployment of I/O modules in automation architectures by reducing the costs of spare parts inventory, maintenance and training. It is a counter module with an input voltage of 24V DC and a current consumption of 200mA at 3.3V DC bus, 80mA at 24V DC sensor. Counter functions are loop (modulo) counting, down counting, event counting, 32-bit counter counting, etc. The enclosure provides IP20 protection for the electronics. This product meets CE, UL, CSA, RCM and EAC standards and is certified for power generation, merchant marine, railway and hazardous area applications. This input is compatible with 19.2V to 30V 2-wire/3-wire proximity sensors, incremental encoders with push-pull outputs, 10V to 30V. The product must be installed in the module carrier and secured with 2 screws.
