This safety coprocessor is part of the Modicon M580 range, a programmable logic controller (PAC/PLC) with integrated functional safety and with integrated Ethernet. This safety product is coated and is compatible with a temperature range of -25°C to +60°C/-13°F to 140°F. This product has an IP20 protection class and offers an MTBF of 988,853 hours. This processor has been certified by TÜV Rheinland up to SIL2/SIL3 according to IEC 61508/61511 for processes. Also up to SILCL3 according to IEC 62061 and up to Cat. 4/Ple according to ISO 13849 for machines and up to SIL4 according to EN 50126/502128/50129 for rail transport. This module meets the requirements of applications in transportation, water and wastewater, consumer packaged goods, mining, minerals, metals, power generation, energy and chemical, and data center. It complies with CE, UL, CSA, RCM, EAC, UKCA, ATEX/IECEx Zone 2/22 and TUV/IEC61508/SIL3 standards and is certified for power generation, merchant marine, railway, and hazardous area applications. This processor must be used with a Modicon M580 safety processor. The coprocessor must be installed in the rack next to the CPU, with 2 screws on top to hold the module in the rack. This product can be used in combination with Modicon X80 (I/O, backplane, cables) and works with EcoStruxure Control Expert programming software.
