This Altivar 212 frequency converter can feed 3-phase asynchronous motors. Its protection class is IP55 and it has a built-in EMC filter. It operates with a rated power of up to 5.5 kW / 7.5 HP and a rated voltage of 380 V to 480 V AC. Its design is based on green energy with a reduction in energy consumption of up to 70% compared to a traditional control system. Thanks to the cable heating reduction technology, the Altivar 212 drive offers immediate, trouble-free operation. It also avoids additional options such as a line choke or a DC choke to eliminate current harmonics. It weighs 10.55 kg and has the following dimensions: 230 mm wide, 340 mm high, 208 mm deep. It is specifically designed for the most common fluid management applications in tertiary sector buildings (HVAC) such as heating, ventilation, air conditioning and pumps. It complies with international standards IEC/EN 61800-5-1 and IEC/EN 61800-3 (immunity and conducted and radiated EMC emissions). It is also CE, UL, CSA, C-Tick and NOM certified. The Altivar 212 offers optional motor chokes that allow the maximum cable lengths between the drive and the motor to be increased and interference to be limited at the motor terminals. It is designed to be mounted in a vertical position (+/- 10°) on a panel thanks to 4 fixing holes. The Altivar 212 drive can be easily adapted to all building management systems thanks to its numerous features and the communication protocols Modbus, METASYS N2, APOGEE FLN P1 and BACnet integrated as standard.
