The Altivar ATS480 soft starter is designed for starting and stopping asynchronous motors with voltages from 208V to 690V. It meets the requirements of the most demanding applications in normal and heavy use. With a nominal current of 32A at normal overload, it operates motors from 7.5kW to 22kW according to the mains voltage. Designed for digitalization, connected, optimized to comply with cybersecurity standards, it simplifies project execution and maximizes application availability. Its torque control (TCS) masters acceleration and deceleration. Thanks to dynamic braking and DC injection, high inertia applications are efficiently managed. It can be connected in the motor line or in delta connection to reduce the operating current. The embedded test routine simplifies commissioning in delta connection. The dimensions are 160mm (width) x 203mm (depth) x 275mm (height) and the weight is 4.9kg. The Altivar soft starter ATS480 was developed to monitor processes, infrastructures and industrial machines. It is compliant with IEC/EN60947-4-1. It is certified according to CE, cULus, UKCA, CCC, RCM, EAC, and marine certified according to DNV, ABS, BV and CCS. Operator terminals, remote mounting kit and communication modules are standard with the Altivar drives. Line chokes, DNV kits are identical to the predecessor ATS48. ATS480 is compatible with ATS48, it has the same footprint, mounting, torque control, I/O, menus... The integration of the Altivar soft starter ATS480 into EcoStruxure drastically simplifies the choice of architecture, detailed design and execution of ventilation and electrical systems.
