The electronic universal touch dimmer ETD 2E (series installation version) can be used to dim a wide range of lamps (LED, energy-saving, incandescent lamps, low-voltage halogen lamps with Tronic or wound transformers, HV halogen lamps). In addition to automatic detection for wound transformers (dimming mode 'Auto'), the dimming mode can also be manually set to leading or trailing edge phase control if required (possibly necessary for lamps with electronic ballasts). A special ESL dimming mode also creates an ignition and warm-up phase for compact fluorescent lamps ('energy-saving lamps'). Thanks to the compact housing dimensions, the ETD U2 can be installed directly in the installation boxes behind a button of any switch range, making it equally suitable for new installations and as a maintenance-free replacement for existing (defective) rotary or touch dimmers.
