This adaptor is used to recess 482.6 mm (48,3 cm ( 19 inch )) mounting of equipment inside enclosures with 482.6 mm (48,3 cm ( 19 inch )) installation in the foremost position, such as server or electronic enclosures. In this way, sufficient space can be gained in front of the mounting equipment to integrate patch panels or switches, whilst at the same time exploiting the maximum enclosure depth.
