The RSS-5540 B is the largest model in the trusted RSS series of 48,3 cm ( 19 inch ) swing-frame cabinets and is specifically designed for demanding PA and sound system applications. Offering 40 rack units, this cabinet is ideal for large-scale installations of 48,3 cm ( 19 inch ) equipment conforming to DIN 41494 standards.

Its robust construction made from welded sheet steel profiles ensures superior stability. With its spacious interior and professional design, the RSS-5540 B is perfect for studio, AV, and network technology environments. The perforated 48,3 cm ( 19 inch ) mounting rails with ASA hole pattern allow for flexible and standard-compliant device integration.

To ensure optimal passive ventilation, the rear panel features a perforated top section and a 3U open space at the bottom. A built-in guide roller makes it easy to rotate the inner frame, even when fully equipped. The 170° opening angle provides excellent access to the rear of the rack for convenient cabling.

Designed for ease of use, the cabinet allows cable entry through the top, bottom, or rear, and includes preconfigured rear mounting areas for accessories such as power strips. Optional RTS series Plexiglas doors add security and visibility and are easy to install thanks to the factory-prepared mounting points.
