The End-of-Line (EOL) module is a dedicated monitoring component designed to ensure the integrity of speaker lines in voice alarm and public address systems. Installed at the end of the speaker line—connected to the last speaker—it continuously monitors the cable path for short circuits, open circuits, and earth faults.
The EOL module provides a reference load specifically for the 20 kHz pilot tone frequency used in line monitoring. This enables more precise impedance measurement and reduces susceptibility to slow, long-term impedance changes caused by speaker aging or environmental conditions. Especially in long lines with many connected speakers, the EOL significantly enhances fault detection accuracy and reduces the risk of false or missed alarms.
Its ultra-compact size allows for easy installation either inside the speaker enclosure or close to the last component in the line. The module supports monitored speaker lines with total loads between 10 and 200 watts.
