The NC-111 Ambient Noise Controller enables automatic adjustment of announcements or background music to the ambient noise level. This greatly improves the ratio between the desired audio signal (e.g., speech or music) and unwanted noise (e.g., crowd or machine noise), making it ideal for use in airports, train stations, shopping centers, or hotels.

The system dynamically and transparently adjusts the output volume without compromising clarity or sound quality. The included ND-011 Ambient Noise Detector supports both electret and dynamic measurement microphones (via XLR or jack connector) and can be connected using an audio cable of up to 500 meters in length. Phantom power (20 V DC) is also available.

Key features include a variable limiter (Reference Level), adjustable bandpass filter (30 Hz–15 kHz), front panel LED level meter with clipping indication, and a bypass switch for disabling the controller. The adjustable filter Q (0.5–3.5) allows precise tuning of the detection frequency range.
