The MXP-604 A is a powerful and flexible matrix preamplifier featuring an integrated 6-in-4 audio matrix. This allows up to six input signals to be freely routed to any of four independent output zones — an ideal solution for complex multi-zone sound systems. A standout feature is its compatibility with digital paging stations such as the MXM-104 and VLM-100 A.
Inputs 1 to 4 are switchable between MIC and LINE levels and come equipped with gain controls, phantom power, and priority over inputs 5 and 6. Each input features individual volume, bass, and treble controls, a signal LED, and zone selection switches. The system includes a high-priority paging input (Tel-Paging) with a trigger for pre-announcement chimes (2- or 4-tone).
Outputs are individually adjustable in volume and recording zone, and LED meters allow real-time signal monitoring. The unit supports both 230 V AC and 24 V DC operation — ideal for systems requiring emergency power backup.
