The BSS-9040 D is a certified and officially approved F90 fire-resistant floor-standing cabinet, specifically designed for housing electroacoustic safety equipment such as RSS-5540 swing-frame 48,3 cm ( 19 inch ) racks. The enclosure meets stringent requirements for functional integrity (E90) and fire resistance (F90), and is based on approval number Z-86.1-28, fully compliant with MLAR (German Model Guideline for Cable Installations).

Offering 90 minutes of fire resistance under external fire exposure and 90 minutes of fire load insulation (I90), this unit provides maximum protection for voice alarm systems (VAS), PA/EVAC control systems, or IT/network infrastructure. The certified configuration with RSS frames has been tested by MPA Stuttgart (test report available upon request).
