Overview
The RAK7258 is an indoor LoRaWAN gateway. It comes standard with an Ethernet connectivity option (PoE supported) for easy setup.
Additionally, there is built-in WiFi that allows for easy configuration (initial setup can be done via WiFi in AP mode).
Advanced configuration options include LTE CAT 4 Cellular. Therefore, there are several connectivity options you can fall back on in the event of a network failure.
The management and configuration software is based on OpenWRT. There is built-in LoRa packet forwarding and a graphical user interface for easy configuration.
In addition, the gateway can act as an MQTT bridge and integrate with other gateway forwarding application data.
Power over Ethernet (PoE) is supported, making it suitable for mounting on walls or ceilings without the need to run additional power lines to reduce deployment time.
It is a full-fledged 8-channel gateway. It comes with the included LoRa antennas (along with mounting screws and dowels).
With a visibility range of up to 15 km and a range of more than 2 km in dense urban environments, it is the perfect solution for any LoRaWAN use case scenario.
