Overview
The RAK2247 is the evolution of the RAK833. It keeps the same small form factor (mPCIE) and is just as easy to integrate as the previous model, but it features a number of improvements.
The maximum transmit power has been increased to achieve an even greater range, so your LoRaWAN® network coverage is even greater.
The additional heatsink improves thermals and allows even more stable operation under difficult conditions.
Last, but not least, the design of the board has been improved. Now there is a second SAW, which makes it possible to increase the noise immunity of the gateway that will power this module compared to the previous generation. This will be a very important feature, as the proliferation of LoRaWAN® networks will explode in the coming years and their size will increase immeasurably. The high noise immunity, coupled with the already excellent -139dBM sensitivity, will be key to supporting the increasing number of nodes in the growing network.
