Overview
WisNode Bridge Serial (RAK7431) is a Modbus RS485 to LoRaWAN® bridge designed for industrial applications. The device transmits Modbus data wirelessly to and from the end devices via the LoRaWAN network.
The WisNode Bridge Serial can work in all LoRaWAN bands within the standard parameters defined by the LoRa® Alliance. The range in open environment is 15+km and in industrial environments where there are strong obstacles in the path of the RF signal, the performance is improved compared to conventional wireless systems due to the characteristics of LoRa as a modulation method. This enables consistently good signal quality within the confines of large factories, dense offices, warehouses, etc.
This RS485 compatible device can address up to 16 client terminal nodes. Conversion to and from LoRa frames is seamless, allowing control and monitoring of multiple RS485 devices in real time. Bus data for accessing and controlling the RS485 terminal nodes.
WisNode Bridge Serial, together with RAK's LPWAN gateway and LoRa server products, can easily and quickly build a wireless industrial field control system. WisNode Bridge Serial adopts industrial protection design, supports wide range power supply, supports wall mounting and DIN rail installation, and facilitates on-site installation and use.
