A wireless network is only good as long as there is no interference. How often does it happen that reception on the network is poor or doesn't work at all?
In order to track down the cause of the error in the WLAN, spectrum analysis is used, which, among other things, finds signal sources from outside the WLAN. The action against devices that interfere with WLAN is reminiscent of the “fox hunts” known from the amateur radio scene. In this case, spectrum analyzers that are as mobile as possible are helpful. With the WiPry 5, Oscium is bringing such a device onto the market.
In order to understand what is going on in a WLAN, it must be made visible. The WiPry5 can do exactly that, for both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequency bands. The 2.4 GHz network is already a very busy area and the 5 GHz network will certainly soon be “congested”. In addition to WLANs, these frequencies are also legally used by other radio components. These include, for example, baby monitors, wireless telephones, garage door openers, motion detectors, radio remote controls and microwaves. Since a usable WLAN can extend to the area of a football field,
devices in the immediate vicinity of an office can also cause interference. WiPry 5 finds the source of interference, no matter how busy the area around your WLAN is. It shows all wireless activity or devices in both frequency bands. Active WLANs are detected via SSID detection and classified according to 802.11b, 802.11g, 802.11n, 802.11ac and 802.15.4 (ZigBee). The classified WLANs are
displayed with their SSID names and received signal strengths in a table or as a schematic envelope in the spectrum view. In this way, overloaded channels can be found and avoided.
The WiPry 5 is particularly helpful for WLAN administrators who need to quickly and reliably find sources of interference on site and document this work. Screenshots and *.CSV files that can be managed via online storage are used for reporting.
The device, which measures only a few grams and millimeters, can be connected to mobile iOS, Android or Windows computers via Mini USB and appropriate adapters. A spectrum analysis APP takes care of the graphical preparation of the analysis data. This APP is available without additional license costs.
Turns a smartphone or tablet into a dual-band spectrum analyzer (2.4 & 5 GHz). WiPry 5 is small and handy, making it the perfect solution for WLAN administrators.
Features:
- 2.4 & 5 GHz spectrum analyzer

Make your WLAN radio spectrum visible:
The 2.4 GHz frequency band is already a very heavily frequented area and the 5th band will certainly soon be there too GHz network may be “clogged”. That's why WiPry 5 supports both bands. In addition to WLAN, these frequencies are also legally used by other radio components. These include, for example, baby monitors, wireless telephones, garage door openers, motion detectors, radio remote controls and microwave ovens. Since a usable WLAN can extend to the area of a football field, devices in the immediate vicinity of an office can also cause interference. WiPry 5 finds the source of interference, no matter how busy the area around your WLAN is.

Great Features:
The features of the WiPry 5 include the ability to grade the channels (using A through F, just like in school!), to calculate the signal-to-noise ratio (this allows you to see whether VoIP or video streaming is possible) and Visualize the surroundings through the waterfall view. It is also possible to save the data or export it as a csv file. Presets can be saved and loaded whenever needed, saving time and energy. These are just some of the fantastic features of the WiPry 5x.
