The NetPeppers fiber optic tool case contains everything you need to install fiber optic lines. Whether FTTX, building or campus cabling: The carefully selected tools support you in preparing fiber optic cables for field-assembled connectors, fusion splices, mechanical splices or in repairing existing fiber optic cables. The components of the case have been carefully selected and put together in a sensible way for the fiber optic installer.
The fiber optic tool case combines all the steps for processing fiber optics in one compact set. The Miller MB06-7000 loose tube cutter for outer sheath thicknesses of up to 6.4 mm and longitudinal slot function is available for stripping the outer sheath of drop or micro/mini blown-in cables. A tried and tested Miller pliers is used to strip the 3 mm protective jacket and 900 µm secondary coating. The NetPeppers OFS31 fiber optic precision stripper is used to strip the 250 µm primary coating. In addition to scissors for removing the Kevlar braid, the scope of delivery also includes cloths and an alcohol pressure dispenser for cleaning the fiber before the cleave process with the tried and tested NetPeppers OFC30 cleaver. Tweezers and an end-lockable disposal container for fiber residues ensure safety during processing. At the end of the assembly process, the installation can be checked for errors using the VLP50 visible laser light source after the finished fusion splice has been protected with crimp splice protection and the included TELENT splice protection press.
