The Moxa TCF-90 series is a compact and efficient solution for converting RS-232 signals into optical signals for long-distance data transmission via fiber optics. A standout feature of this series is its ability to be powered directly through the RS-232 port, eliminating the need for an external power supply in most cases. Nevertheless, external power via USB or DC is also supported for flexibility.

With transmission distances of up to 5 km via multi-mode fiber or 40 km via single-mode fiber, the TCF-90 converters enhance signal integrity by eliminating electromagnetic interference, ground loops, and electrical noise.
