The Moxa TCC-80 and TCC-80I are compact, industrial-grade media converters that provide complete signal conversion from RS-232 to RS-422 or RS-485 (2- or 4-wire), without requiring an external power source. These converters are ideal for space-constrained applications where simplicity and electrical protection are crucial.

The TCC-80I model adds 2.5 kV optical isolation to protect connected devices from ground loop issues and surges. Both models support automatic baudrate detection and automatic data direction control (ADDC) for RS-485, making installation plug-and-play. A DIP switch enables internal 120-ohm termination for stable RS-485 communication. The LED port power indicator confirms if sufficient power is available via the RS-232 port.
