Moxa’s 8-port RS-232 connection boxes provide a compact and organized way to link multiple serial devices to a serial interface board. Each unit features eight RS-232 ports and is available with DB9, 8-pin RJ45, or DB25 connectors on the device side. Connection to the serial board is achieved using either a DB62 or VHDCI 68 connector, depending on the model, with a 1.5-meter cable included.

All models include LED indicators for transmit (TxD) and receive (RxD) activity on each port. The OPT 8S model adds industrial-grade protection with 25 kV ESD and 2 kV EFT surge suppression.
