The MDR-60-24 features an integrated overload protection that activates at loads of 105 to 150 % of rated power and automatically resets once the fault is cleared. Additionally, overvoltage protection activates at voltages of 31.2 to 36 VDC to prevent damage — in case of overvoltage, the device shuts down and returns to normal operation after a restart. The turn-on and ramp-up time is 500 ms, with a stabilization time of 30 ms under full load. The hold-up time under full load is 50 ms at 230 VAC input voltage.

The power supply operates with a typical efficiency of 88 %, meaning that 88 % of the input energy is converted into usable output power. The remaining 12 % is lost as heat. The input voltage range includes both AC and DC, allowing flexible use in different power supply systems. The typical input current is 1.0 A at 230 VAC and 1.8 A at 115 VAC. At cold start, inrush currents of up to 60 A at 230 VAC and 30 A at 115 VAC are possible, ensuring compatibility with systems featuring high inrush currents.
